Katerina Brown will be performing with a wonderful quintet composed of bassist Gary Brown, pianist Adam Shulman drummer Jason Lewis , and special guest, on violin Mads Tolling .
The warm, honeyed voice of Katerina Brown brings a fresh flavor to the world of jazz. Russian-born and trained, influenced by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Sara Vaughan, Katerina has traveled the globe, honing her distinctive sound. She can wind her way effortlessly through a velvety rendition of an American jazz standard, or powerfully, passionately command the notes of a romantic, Russian classic. Katerina Brown’s artful style and lush vocals are a classic in the making.
Katerina will bring a beautiful evening of music that combines an exciting mixture of Russian Classical compositions from some of the most world-renowned Russian Composers.
