“Soviet Composers in Jazz”. Showcase by Katerina Brown & her dedicated Mellow Tones vocal students.

Katerina Brown presents a new program where she is exploring the music of Soviet Composers and interpreting it in the contemporary jazz form. Together with the Russian musicians' featuring Sergey Prokushkin piano, Sasha Ovsankin bass,  Aslan Isabaev drums, Erik Abramyan sax, and her dedicated Mellow Tones Vocal Studio students, she will be performing songs from the repertoire of some of the greatest composers such a Issak Dunaevskiy, Yury Saulsky, Andrey Petrov,  Aleksandr Zatsepin among other. The audience will be transported into the forgotten world of the 20 century Russia combining music from Soviet movies, old TV shows, and Soviet Estrada!
